Lenah C. creates a smooth transition from hate to love in 38 short chapters of this novella. Although not as historically correct as one would hope, it is the closest I've seen an author come to Jane Austen's authentic works. I have a hard time imagining people having the names Derek, Serena, and Alvin. However, I feel like the balance of the characters' personalities are well done, although I would have liked to see more of the antagonists. Some side plots felt unfinished, especially with the handsomely evil Daniel's womanizing acts that causes unwanted changes in the situations between Derek and Serena. Also, there could have been more appearances of secondary characters. Serena seems like a 21st century girl, but as the story progresses and she learns more of the society she is born into, she becomes refined and a less whiny character. As for Derek, he is the stereotypical male hero who hates the girl and finally falls for her. However, Lenah C.'s choice for him to court Victoria (the polar opposite of Serena) was brilliant, steering him into the path of "she's not my 'type' but I'm still in love with her." I would have wished for more plot twists and more historical fluff, but "Of Dukes and Peasants" is worthy of a nice relaxing afternoon and a cup of British tea.

W. An emotional read, one is expected to cry, groan, and smile through the story. Bingo creates a future fictionpress classic with this story, weaving the fate of the world into the ending. The Story You Shouldn't Know makes you think who exactly is the good guy, and who cannot be trusted. Causing suspicion on all characters, the psychological thriller questions the balance we have in life between disasters and miracles. Although the story had the potential to go deeper into the whole anthropological mess of war and conflict versus utopia and perfection, Bingo leaves it clean and perfectly cut with the right amount of details, and the right amount of cheese in the intense story. The supporting characters, Hussein, Mary, and the Wolf makes us wonder about if our actions truly corresponds with our emotions. The sexy but devilish Josh makes us think about what is the line beyond acceptance and losing of own character. We question his love for Anna, but his affection and recognition of his own feelings makes us realize that there really are two sides to one person (or devil in this case). Because of Anna's birth status, we are able to explore what we all want to be, and what we actually are in this world. A crazy roller coaster ride, parental secrets are revealed and the world... will be either saved, destructed, or something else-ed. More than a romance, The Story You Shouldn't Know is definitely a "story you should read."

W. Aurette captures readers with not only the three guys who create a mess of a love square, but also with the very realistic main character, Gracie. She begins a self-conscious and troubled character, who we can all relate to, and eventually grows to become someone who is less passive and more confident (as shown in her stealing of a certain someone's bathrobe). To Feel the Sun is more than one love story; it is three with, the charming Colin, spontaneous Simon, and the quiet Jonah. While a normal love life of an average girl usually has one guy at a time, Gracie has to juggle three different men at once. With her long love Colin, it's the well played "Is she ever going to get over him? Will he ever notice her?" dilemma that is explored until the very end. A twisty path between Gracie and Colin, she tried to keep her conscience, befriending his new wife. A classic friend-maybe-turned-lover is born. Simple Simon's social status is certainly down played compared to Gracie's rich family, Colin's heir status, and Jonah's hot-shot position as a rising defense lawyer. However, I do have a thing for cellists like Simon. The romance between Simon and Gracie is sparked by the matchmaking Sarah (Gracie's glorious twin sister). Getting off from the wrong foot at Colin's wedding, the two meet again with more class and better attitudes. Simon is the tramp, as Gracie is the lady, but a tramp may always be a tramp. A storm of fights and acceptance comes between the chemistry of Simon and Gracie, which leaves readers wondering about the end. At last, but not least, the mysterious and quiet Jonah is a lawyer working at Gracie's father's firm. Gracie is working as the secretary/receptionist at the law firm, and I'll say that the relationship between Gracie and Jonah is not exactly like the famous Jim/Pam pairing of the Office. Jonah's silent pining over Gracie is obvious since he is introduced (Aurette has a one-shot featuring Jonah's attraction to his boss's daughter). A steady under-beat of the story crescendos throughout the story. When a misunderstanding arises between Gracie and her twin sister, and a guy finally makes a move (whether it's a right one or a wrong one will be obvious to you when you read it), who will stay by Gracie's side, and who will she choose? The friendly Colin, the realistic Simon, or the serious Jonah? Read to find out what the fate of Gracie's love life will be!

W. Life in Thorton Academy represents the richest in America. They're hot. They're beautiful. And they're all liars and cheaters. So how is Summer Ward going to know who to trust and who to love? When you have a large, dysfunctional family after an accident, the best way to cope is to move, right? So when Summer's life is already smashed up in pieces after her brother's death, Thorton is ready to shatter it even more. The queen of the school recruits her friend to destroy her. The king of the school is in love with her, which isn't as fun as it sounds. So how does Zach Gellar play in? When you have parties over-seas and girls liking you because of your boyfriends, life pretty much sucks. It's a beautifully written piece, lacking some originality, but the dynamic characters with rounded personalities make up for the loss. Punkturnedwriter has captured the whole net of romantic feelings into one bunch. I would suggest you to read the Champagne Gang, if you're looking for the whole upper-class teens who drink champagne. It's hot. It's beautiful. And it's a whole web of lies, cheating, and the faint glow of hope Summer is able to find in the whole mess.

W. The author creates two nations, enemies after a misunderstanding, and in them, resides Aelyn. Aelyn is a special girl (and someone beyond the reader's knowledge until the end) who loves her family dearly. In the first chapter, we can see she is a soldier and loves her late twin brother deeply. Once she is captured she must understand the new culture she is pulled into. There, she meets people unlike the civilians of her home country. However, the warm feelings of friendship and romance are still there too. We see a very understandable culture shock she experiences in Dramaria. There, things get intense as she forms a surprising friendship with the soldier who captured her, and the Dramarian king's sister. How is she able to fulfill the profit of saving her country, when she is in love with the enemy king? This is definitely worth the read and brings readers into "once upon a time" with a twist.

W. It gets worse when they find that they’re married. But when an opportunity too good to pass up presents itself, what will happen when they stay married?

W.S.'s Reviewing:
It's absolutely cliched and predictable, but the characters make the whole experience worth it. Jude is the stereotypical rich white kid, but seems to have trouble realizing his whole feelings (for some reason, his complication with his feelings for Lira reminds me Booth in the TV show, Bones). Lira on the other hand, is the product of a woman obsessed with marriage. She's that pretty book-worm who fails chemistry and loves Hello Kitty. Okay, so what happens when you wake up next to that hot guy you love to hate, with the tattoo of his name on your hip, and a matching one on his that says, "I love Hello Kitty"? Of course, it's called a deal producing in a hundred thousand bucks, a cute little house, Mahew (you shall find out who this penguin-man is if you read it-- he's the most awkward character I've ever met/read), bitchy mother-in-laws, and perhaps, romance rather than lust in this "temporary" (?) marriage. Alright, so go read the story and be jealous of Lira. GO! NOW!

W. From the moment Elizabeth Camden met Kent Darcy she hated how proud he was and tried as hard as she could to beat him at anything and everything.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Pride and Prejudice is the mother of all romance. It's the mother of cliched hate-at-first-sight stories, and it's an international classic. In this modern retelling, Tabitha Grey edits all the characters (for example, the Bennett sisters, excepting Elizabeth, are molded into one: Kat) and places them in a boarding school, St. Mary's. She is the beautiful, scholarship student at the prestigious school. Kent Darcy, on the other hand, is her rival in her studies (and many other things, such as golf). He, like the original Darcy, has great hatred for Jack (the adaptation of Wickham) and protects Elizabeth from him. Many things are similar to the original, such as Darcy having to propose/ask Elizabeth out twice, but overall, the plot is a little twisted with many creative changes. It's on the shorter side, and it's cute, but it also frames many things the original did not, such as Elizabeth's persuasion. I love it, and not because it's an retelling, but because the characters are developed very realistically.

W. For there, scrawled in neat handwriting was my name…and Michael’s. And he was standing right next to me. Help?

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Yes, it's cheesy and a cliched rich-and-beautiful-people story (and a dash of beautiful friendship blooming, as dorky as it may sound), but I think that's part of how it makes this story really cute, just as the "Cutest Couple," Holly and Michael. Childhood acquaintances turn into enemies, and finally to a couple? How can that be, you may wonder, but it's pretty simple: one should never ever ever (as the other Michael, from The Office puts it for Jim) give up on true love. Never, just as Michael never gave up on Holly, even when she pushed him away. Or maybe he pushed her away at first. Or maybe it was Holly who never realized that she loved him after the fateful ride on the Ferris wheel. Or maybe... well, I think you can figure it out if you read "To Make a Scene" yourself. The epilogue it also cute and it secures the future after the plot, so it's pretty much a super-happy-ending, I'd say :). And as Holly puts it all too beautifully:

"Love is not about romantic endings, or dancing under the moonlight as a fourteen-year-old with the one person you’d rather be without, or making scenes, or playing mind games with each other throughout a never ending spiral of events. No. It’s about slowly letting in the one person that you’d never expected you’d want to spend the rest of your life with until you’re too deep in when you finally realize it, and seeing the whole world ahead of you two."

W. I turned and looked at him. Oh God, here goes the last shred of dignity I own. I took a deep breath. “You.”

W. S.'s Reviewing:
It's short. It's sweet. And it's breathtakingly gorgeous. Although it's a short story, a one-shot/chapter, "Breathtakingly Gorgeous" portrays so much in life. Fate: Kaia and Ryan's constant encounters, Friendship: Courtney's lectures and matchmaking skills, and Honesty: the double confessions that takes even in the very short time during the typical teen-age party. Can a jerk really be prince charming for the sarcastic and smart Kaia? And can Ryan finally tell his feelings since seventh grade to the girl who "hates" him? I sometimes (as in every time I re-read this) wish this wasn't a short story, but was a long, epic novel. But then, I realize how perfectly formed this is just BECAUSE it's short and sweet. I think it would have just been another pick-me-up chick-lit that's cliched if it weren't so. It pin points the most important event in the invisible plot. "Breathtakingly Gorgeous" proves that short romances can be just as gorgeous as the longer ones.

W. She's devoted to her career until something gets in the way. Enter Trent Harbor, the Yankees' newest superstar. Will they strike out?

W. S.'s Reviewing:
I personally dislike the Yankees with passion. Yeah, I'm a Sox fan so stick that in your juice box and suck it! Just kidding, but the Sox still rox. And Rock, Ally's guy friend totally agrees with me. But anyway, Ally Leingerg definitely leads the most perfect life as a writer. I mean seriously? Not every sexy 23-year old can be a famous writer AND date a super baseball player. But she totally deserves all that goodness by being "too talented for your own good" in writing (as her stupid literary agent, Leonard, puts it) and cheering Trent at a game when everyone else scorned him. And no, this is not some random miraculous chick-lit that has too much fate: it's realistic and honest. They go through twists and turns when things go wrong and the green monster of jealousy is unleashed. But hey, who ever said life was perfect, even in the fictional world? The side plot of Rob and Daisy Lynn, although a little heartbreaking at first, is extremely sweet and cute. Whoever thought baseball could be this romantic?

W. S.'s Reviewing:
This story makes my heart melt. In the mist of money, fame, and sex, Tiara and Erik find true love again. The heartbreaking feelings revealed throughout the story are pieced back together with the controllable bond between the two ex-lovers who will be and will always be in love with each other. "The Red Carpet" shows that heartbreak is not so simple when that one person is your first, last, and true love in your life. I like to call it the "Hollywood version of Gossip Girl," but of course, "The Red Carpet" is just simply too sweet, dangerous, hot at the same time, even if it is still possible, innocent. Tiara is the it-girl and twin sister of the perfect Kaitlyn, and is the daughter of Aubrey Briar, the fictional bigger than A-list movie star. Not only is Tiara's past slowly and beautifully revealed, the dangerous drama unfolds itself from the beginning of beginning to the fantastic end. "The Red Carpet" is everything you would expect from the rich: parties, catwalks, movies, and love. Even the rich can love, you know. I can only say that this story is beautiful. It's so good that it's beautiful: Nothing more, nothing less.

W. There's only one problem. Sam is a girl.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Who can ever hate the sweetie, Samantha Westlane? We can only hope for her the best, and I must say, Crestan is where she can finally live her life happily again after multiple tragedies. Oh, and did I mention this is an ALL BOYS school where the amazing Vincent, Tristian, Jack, and the oh-so-cute-and-homosexual Will is? I love Will, but wow... Vincent? Wow. Yeah, that's all I can say about Vincent. That sexy man is wow. Sexy man is Romeo with an actual brain in this drama, drama, drama! Jack is just a little sweetie while Tristian plays a MAGNA role in the el lovea triangle! Yes, this is one of the cliched cross-dressing dramas but Sam's reason is most definitely not to prove men wrong, or accidental: can her uncle be more disgusting and horrid? I say not, with the idea he is a very perverted and crazy man. And who can forget the sexy Danielle who helps Sam? Oh, and everyone, does the "rich and the spoiled" (how come the author didn't mention hot also?) ring a bell? All goes well until she meets Jack Shanahan. He's rich, arrogant, and his father is paying for Avery's education.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Wow. Yes, it's the most cliched poor-girl-meets-rich-boy romance every, but my oh my, Avery Sanders SHOULD be pleased. What Justice Bana reveals in this witty novel are many things: what exactly are the boundaries in a family relationship, when one can do for an enemy, and if first impressions are truely lasting impressions. Avery Sanders is the perfect Jane Austen for the Jack Shanahan. Avery has everything a girl doesn't want: a poor family, an enemy depending on her for a pregnacy, a lost father, and a drug-addict mother who uses her money. But Jack has everything except his best friend's girlfriend. And who, you may ask, is the best friend? Well, it's the ever so sweet Colin, who turns out to cheat on Avery because she's a virgin. But hey, a guy's got to have flaws, because otherwise, Colin just could have been the next Prince Charming. Oh yes, Jack Shanahan. He is the last guy I'd ever call "charming." Hearts are constantly broken, just as promises are, but the moral of the story must be, "What Ass is complete without its Jack?" I'll leave you to figure that question out by reading "Avery Susan Sanders is not an Ass"!

W. She didn't think a weird guy would come into the restaurant and hit on her - or that he would actually be a spy from Pizza Hut.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Cute. It is absolutely cute. Except the fish-death in the first chapter. The most cliched book has uncliched itself after eighteen chapters of heartbreaks, pizza, and mending of first loves. But I have to say, Angelo's going to always be my fave. First suspecting Seth to be a spy from Pizza Hut, he finally accepts the fact that his favorite worker, Carrie is going out with him. “Well, who am I to stand in the way of young love?” he had exclaimed in A Little Bit Crazy, “I would be a bad Italian if I tried to.” Yes Ang, you would be. But we'll love you anyway. Seth isn't like the stereotypical "Darcy," but more like Bingley from Pride and Prejudice. Now look at me, making cliched connections with the mother of all romance novels. A Little Bit Crazy has, for real, made me "a little bit crazy." Little Carrie hopes her romance will be like her favorite book, Ella Enchanted, but both of us would admit that her love-life tops Ella's. Will you? Now read "A Little Bit Crazy" to see if you agree!

W. Sounds amazing, right? I thought so too, until I remembered who was going with me: Kurt Matthews, my obnoxious, infuriating nemesis. Oh joy.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
A German girlie + a wicked Bostonian hottie + an Asian playgirl friend + Christian BFFL's + tons of music and guys + school trip to Europe= Six Weeks With Satan. I swear, if Satan was as hot and amazing as Kurt Matthews, I'd totally do him. Too bad he's a virgin... and totally in love with his childhood frenemy Lotte Leisch, his "little milk maid," as he calls him. We all know that Europe is the land of romance, oui ladies? It's pretty amazing that all these romantic events can happen in six weeks. But the hottest event was probably the erotic shower scene (don't worry, it's rated T, now R). Lotte is lucky to have a knight in shining armer, Kurt to protect her from racist bastards and hail stones. SWWS also has a side plot with Lotte's best friend, Eden, who has no experience with love like Jane (the Chinese pheromone hottie), but finds love in Matt. Then there are the hot Europeans Lotte meets along the way, and has flings (?!) with. Will Kurt ever tell her what he wanted to for seven years, or will the Italian Andreas hold our German girlie's heart? The six week proves to Lotte that maybe "Satan" is capable of love like her.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Yes, I know that right now isn't Christmas season, but after reading "The Nutcracker Princess" I feel like I'm a little girl waiting for Christmas to come again. Although a fantasy, there is always room between the talking snowman and a friendly "yeti". This very cute holiday story would be the next "Elf" movie. A Christmas-loving Holly can't stand Noel, Santa's son. Ironically, Noel hates Chrismas, and has stolen the crystal, causing Christmas to be canceled... unless they save it from the evil clutches of Lumi. The cold, Snow Queen Lumi, plots to end Holly's favorite holiday. Using her "curse of the ringtone" on her cell phone, Holly battles though evil henchmen of Lumi, and is claimed the wife of Prince Frostylocks, aka Prince Charmless. Phoebus, the talking snowman, and Evan, the elf, helps Holly get Christmas back. But first, she must kiss Noel so Lumi's curse is gone from him. Do you want to know how the kiss happened? Well you'll have to read "The Nutcracker Princess" to find out!

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Hot boys + two hot girls= A lovely and hot story. This story is filled with friendship, family problems, and most importantly, LOVE! The bonds in this story is intense, and test each other as the characters' actions are taken place. As an orphan, Ella Cavelleri, knows that love is what she wants, not money. Having people betrayed her in the past, she is glad to be friends with her new cousin, Roxy Morrison. Wanting to do everything to keep their friendship as strong as it is, Ella promises to never fall in love with Roxy's brothers. But too bad they're dang hawt... The sensitive, yet protective Braidon catches her eyes, and their relationship developes as they share their secrets. Ryan and Chris, the Morrison twins are not exactly a cup of tea for Ella. Thinking she is a spoiled Californian brat, they think she does not understand how it was for the Morrison siblings when they were in the orphanage. But Ella isn't the only one who has a fairy tale happening; her boy best friend, Tyler Darrin, apparently has hots for Roxy. Calling Ella "Tink"and making Braidon jealous, Tyler is the sparkle to the story. And did I mention Derric Matthews, the gay guy? With a abnormal perky behavior, it is easily depicted that he is *ahem*, gay. Of course we cannot forget the evil Elisha Cuthbert, who firts shamelessly with the guys. Although the story is not completed yet, I anticipate everyday of updates of "Breaking A Promise"!

W. Romance springs up between her and her roomate, but then her old partner returns, determined to win her heart.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
An action-packed spy romance, not only does it feature adventures, there is also a large space for romance to occur. A major love triangle featuring Natalie's roommate Matt and her old partner Jake Alderman takes place. It's quite humorous how Matt is in denial because he thinks Natalie's a boy and maybe if he could be gay. Personally, I can't stand Matt because he's not too "manly" enough for me. He's sweet and all, but Jake's way more maler. I mean, he's hot, he's strong, and he cares for Natalie more than anyone. Even to the point that he would give her up so she could be happy. While reading this, my heart keeps on beating so fast when the action (and of course, the romance) takes place. A dangerous man planning to kill Natalie and having two knights (okay, a knight and a random guy who just happens to be her boyfriend) protecting her satisfy me more than enough. If you want to find out about how Jake and Natalie get together, make sure to read "Into Hiding"!

W. But why is she having a hard time with her room mate's handsome brother?

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Have I mentioned how hawt these characters must be? A fictional Vic's model placed in a rich high-end boarding sounds good, but if you add the super cute soccer player in, you'll get a great story! Nathan Adams is so sweet that the play girl Alexandra Levi would give up all the Armani models swooning for her. Did I mention "boarding" school? Yes you guessed it, Alex did not want to go because she must take a year off of her very successful celebrity life. But don't worry everyone, Nathan matches her status better than anyone else's, being a billion-dollar heir himself. With multiple kiss/makeout scenes, not always between our favorite pairs, it makes you blush like crazy and want a Nathan-type guy for yourself. I have to admit, sometimes I think Alex is a bit of a snob, often using "F-Y-I" and "I'm a supermodel" in her dialogue. But Nathan has (somewhat) taught her well. Their multiple fights make you cringe and yell "just make up already", but what's fun in no drama? Before they even go out, the couple-type actions take place with not-so-friendly hugs and constant flirting. Songs of an Angel makes love taste like a chocolate cake with an overdose of caramel filling. If you want some "celebrity" genre, make sure to read "The Heaven I Found in Hell"!

W. Mutual hatred? Yep. Sometimes the last person you want to be with is the one person you can't resist.

W. S.'s Reviewing:
"For the Love of the Game" shines more than Angelina Jolie and Brad Pit combined! The ever so funky Shelly Sinclair and cocky Brendon Miller makes people gush over them (and their mothers do despite their annoyance at the beginning of it). A unique work, i found nemo makes the girly Shelly coach a bunch of hot football players. Being their new coach, she not only do they lead the team to victory (oops, spoiler), Shelly is also able to give them all a personality makeover. And most importantly, catching the heart of the school king, Brandon Miller. Chelsey Smith is the ultimate Sharpay to "For the Love of the Game". I have to admit, my favorite character is Brendon's sister, Morgan. A smart, yet head-strong girl acts as the Cupid and the creator of Team BS (Brendon-Shelly) charms readers. Both of the main characters find themselves hating each other to the point that they do childish (sometimes totally hot) pranks on each other. Brendon finds himself attracted to his "coach", Shelly and surprisingly, can act pretty sweet rather than a jerk. Even the people who hate reading this would turn into a bookworm (and I have proven this theory). With i found nemo's hot variaty of guys, reader's can dream about their prince charming as I hope to find. Well, it is every girl's dream, right? There is a sequel, "Accidentally in Love". It is very well written, but (here comes the spoiler) Brendon and Shelly broke up in it! It's obvious they will get together, but the author hasn't updated since April 22th, 2007. Poop, hunh? I'd advise you to also listen to the song mentioned, "Just the Girl" by The Click Five (at playlist.com or something) because I swear it totally matches the ever so great "For the Love of the Game"!

W. Her older brother's best friend Ryan Henderson claims that he can make any girl, including Raleigh, fall for him. Their bet's on for four months. Can they prove each other wrong?

W. S.'s Reviewing:
Cute and a bit clinched, but hey, a girl has to have a daily supplement of an 100% romance work. A complete novel, Myrika depicts all the characters with unique personalities. With Raleigh as a headstrong feminist and Ryan as an absolutely delicious hottie, the chemistry in this book sizzles more than that beefy meat grilling at a BBQ party. Being in denial, it is sometimes painful to read about Raleigh pushing her feelings for that divine blond readers love. Then again, pain can cause love, right? Most would think that Ryan is one of those perfect rich socialite, but being so good can have flaws. Having a ignorant brother and a mother who thinks that teens are sex-crazy (and find quite... interest in that) can be pretty crazy. Falling in love with your best friend's sister is pretty cute of him. Let's describe the girls' fave jock boy who we all go ga ga over: Ryan. Popular? Check. Rich? Check. Looks? Check. Free? Definitely not. Back off girls, he is totally Raleigh's. He may seem confident, but he can be insecure. Wouldn't you, if you were a guy in love with a girl who can't stand a human with a y-chromosome? Funny how that works. Funny how you're still reading this and not reading the story yourself! Sure, it's long but it's definitely worth it. The wonderful author, Myrika even has a sequel called "Everybody Hates Logan" featuring Ryan's ever loved yet a jerk, brother. Get your daily dose of sweet romance by reading "Against All Odds"!

W.
